NEW! This is a must for students who plan to apply for college admission!! Increase your student's chances of procuring scholarships with improved scores on their college entrance exams.

Andrew Pudewa’s High School Essay Intensive (HSEI), recorded live at Biola University, is presented on four DVDs. Reproducible handouts (.pdf files) are provided on one CD-ROM enabling you to make copies for as many students as necessary. Several bonus files (text, .mp3, and powerpoint), dealing with other aspects of SAT preparation are also included.

The program introduces tools and tips for tackling the timed essay, which is currently included in the SAT exam, as well as strategies for writing a “personal essay” for a college application.

Previous IEW experience is helpful but not required. The content in the HSEI is significantly different from any of the other IEW courses. The material is presented in two parts:

Part One - Students write two 25-minute essays (a “before”and “after”), review the grading criteria from The College Board, complete several types of outlines, and learn how to continue to practice for the test.

Part Two - Typical questions for college and university application “personal essays” are discussed, students are shown how to determine structure based on length, and learn a concrete process for developing ideas. Students write out one complete “TRIAC” paragraph and work on a full outline for a personal essay.

4 DVDs and 1 CD-ROM
