We used this wonderful devotional several years as our children were growing up! In Advent Foretold, the authors present a serious study of Scripture for the thirty-one days of December. Each day includes a reproducible line drawing suitable for coloring and a devotional. Prophecy, from the beginning of the Bible regarding the Messiah, is discussed the first sixteen days. Each prophesy is taken point-by-point, questions are asked for the family to consider, and answers are provided.

From December 17 through December 31, the devotionals follow the theme of "fulfillment." Events immediately leading up to and following the birth of Christ are studied. Contemporary stories, references from other books, and Christmas carols support the points of how the prophesies were fulfilled.

Advent Foretold concludes with the words to the Christmas carols and an essay entitled "A Clear Path to God," which provides a clear understanding of some basic truths necessary for sound conversions.
